Painted as part of a large series in August 2023, the Edge of Light paintings were an attempt to merge my love of  painting nocturnes and of the work of Mark Rothko.. using very subtle shifts of colour and reducing my seascapes down to very simple 'edges' of light. This is one of the largest paintings, previously unshown as I could never quite find the venue to show them all together aside from in a virtual show online.
