After Arwen

A Marchmont painting -After Arwen. Arwen decimated a lot of beautiful woodland across the Uk, and our residency at Marchmonth happened not long after. I had a moment when my favourite tree in the Duns Castle nature reserve, where I would cycle to as a kid and read and eat chocoalte and drink fizzy pop in it's branches as a kid was no more. This piece is about the jagges edges that are left, the sinous curves of fallen branches.
