This is from a classic painting day. On the beach at 6.30 for inspo. In the studio at nine. Big canvas. Cracked open the wine rather early. And painted.. I didn’t want to do splashy, spectacular.. I didn’t want to stare into the sun. I wanted to take the quiet reflected light, the textures in sand, the SIZE and space. That moment of sitting on sand, chilling, before the world was awake.
